If your vehicle's daytime running lights operate at a voltage lower than 8V, then some LED kits won't even light up. Or if they do the low voltage will reduce their life expectancy. We have the perfect solutions for thi The ULT series Ultimate decoder includes all the functions of the ASL series decoders with the addition of a low voltage trigger solution for vehicles with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) that use less than a full 12 volts. These require wiring to the battery power and ground and will turn the headlights on to a full battery voltage when they sense the DRL voltage. They also solve other issues such as; 1 - Headlight Flickering - Problem, Some new models vehicles use a pulsed current to power the headlights but the LED chip is very sensitive for current changes which can lead to high frequency flickering - Solution, Using a capacitor can smooth out the pulse to be a stable current preventing flickering. 2 - Headlights turning off and on - Problem, The working power of the LED headlights doesn't match the draw of the original halogen headlight - Solution, Build-in a group resistors for increase the power draw by 8-10 watts. 3. Error Warning light on - Problem, The computer checked the LED headlights and did not see a proper signal so the ECM turned on a warning light to warn you of a potential problem - Solution, Built-in a program to imitate the working draw of a halogen bulb.
